                   What a Webmaster Does

                       In general, a webmaster develops websites from scratch and helps
                   keep them in working order, including applying web app updates, and free
                   of broken links and other technical issues, so they are always available to
                   users. They also respond promptly to user complaints, including technical
                   glitches and other user issues, to help get malfunctioning websites back up
                   and running smoothly.

                       Webmasters are well capable of managing from one to many website
                   processes at a time, depending on which they choose.

                   What Skills You Need to Become a Webmaster

                       To become an effective webmaster, there are some skills you must
                   master, first, whether you only intend to build and manage your own website,
                   or you plan to develop and manage other people’s websites for a profit,
                   including:

                   1.	 Knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

                       Hypertext markup language (HTML) is simply the computer language
                   that browsers use to interpret and display the content that is built into web
                   applications. Therefore, you need to understand this language in order to
                   develop web apps from the ground up.

                       Most HTML commands are fairly simple to construct; however, they
                   require strict practice in order to put them into use during real projects, so be
                   sure to practice various HTML commands as frequently as possible in order
                   to familiarize yourself with them, so you can master them when needed.

                   2.	 Knowledge of Scripting Languages

                       HTML is what is known as the rendering tier in web applications, which
                   means it is able to be executed via the browser. However, web apps also
                   have a logic tier, which communicates with the database of a web app;
                   therefore, it requires a separate scripting language that handles logic.

                       There are various different scripting languages webmasters can choose
                   from when it comes to handling the logic of a web application. For instance,
                   many webmasters simply learn Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), which is a
                   server-side scripting language that enables webmasters to develop web
