ttracting readers to your blog is almost as
Aeasy as just writing your blog entries, day
in, day out, regularly and diligently.
Actually, for the most part, that’s all it takes.
SEO for blogs is mostly subservient to the
classic web adage for developers: content is
king!
But here are some useful ideas that will help
establish a blog to be ready for this simple,
entry-by-entry approach to building and using
a blog for what it was conceived in the first
place.
First things first, as things should be, is to
get your site on your domain. A blog is a site,
plain and simple, and your blog has a theme, a
title, and thus your URL or domain name should
be www [something of relevance to title and
theme] dot com.
Blogs and even sites rarely rank on search
enginies for their keyword unless that keyword
is in the domain, and those built on free
platforms simply can’t customize themselves
to that level, and consequently will not be
positioned as favorably as those found on their
own, relevant URL.
Now, without going into the details of the
very low cost of maintaining a domain of your
own and hosting in this article, here’s another
piece of advice that will go without saying, or
at least without in-depth explanations of as to
why and how.
Get a WordPress blog software
platform.
Don’t shop and compare and try to get into
learning different ones. Don’t bother. There are
many big ones, there are many good ones, but
none bigger or gooder than WP.
The main basic reason is, whether golf
shoes or domme boots, WordPress is made
for basic essential SEO - it’s already in the
construct of the CMS. Whereas others are
ready to be optimized for search engines, WP
is already optimized on deployment and with a
few simple click-ons can be further improved
in this department. If you want. If you don’t, it
don’t matter. Move on!
Also, WordPress is free, can be easily
customized and doesn’t need you to do more
