lmost every business wishes that their
aproducts would move at a much faster
rate. Many business owners wish that more
people knew about their product or the fact
that they offered a particular option. Many
also wish that once they convinced a viewer
to look at their product their conversion rate
was higher. If this describes you, then taking
some simple steps can help.
step 1: understand your target
audience
Before you can attempt to sell your
product, you must know who has a problem
that your product will solve. Take a look at
some of your most recent customers. Learn
as much about them as you possibly can.
What is their education level? Do they all live
in the same geographical region? Do they
work at the same type of job? Are there more
WRITInG EFFECTIvE males than females? Mining social media can
often help you learn about the people looking
for your product. Once you start to get an
E-COMMERCE idea, then find a photo of a representative of
that group and hang it where you can clearly
PROdUCT see it in your workspace.
step 2: Create a List of benefits
dESCRIPTIOnS Place the product near you. Now, start
making a list of all its features. Do not be
judgemental at this point. Instead, write
out every phrase you can use to describe
this product. You might have descriptive
phrases describing its size, color, weight,
volume, smell, taste, touch, quantity and
material composition. Spend some time really
brainstorming the product’s attributes. Now,
write a statement beside each attribute telling
how that can benefit the person whose photo
you hung on your workspace wall. Try to come
up with a benefit for each attribute that you
listed.
step 3: define your Company’s
tone of voice
Gaze deeply into the eyes of the person
whose photo is now hanging on your
workspace wall. If you were to talk to them,
then what tone of voice would you use. It may
be helpful to think about the tone of voice
